Kai Johnson

Congratulations to Kai Johnson our 2025 recpient. Kai’s father, Jeremiah Johnson, was a beloved Punahou science teacher with a deep passion for marine biology and the environment. His life was tragically cut short during a school sponsored boat excursion on Lanai, a loss that touched the entire community. For Kai, who was not yet born, his father’s absence has been felt every day, but so has his lasting influence. To honor that legacy, Kai is committed to excelling in his education and pursuing his goals with determination. At 18, he will be joining Northern Arizona University to study Business Administration, eager to create a meaningful future while carrying forward the values his father inspired.
