Congratulations to Kids’ Chance of Hawaii’s 2022 Scholarship Recipient!

Congratulations to our 2022 scholarship recipient, Kirra Johnson! Her father, Jeremiah Johnson, was a dedicated teacher at Punahou with a passion for marine biology. He suddenly passed away while on a school-sponsored boat excursion on Lanai. The loss of this inspiring man was felt throughout the community, but none felt it more than his daughter. To honor her father’s teaching legacy, Kirra is driven to excel in her education and extra-circular activities. Graduating a year early, she will be joining the Northern Arizona University’s Honors College this Fall to pursue a Political Science degree. “Dream Big,” that’s what Kirra’s father would tell her. Our team at Kids’ Chance of Hawaii would like to echo his words and are thrilled to support dreamers like her.
